To get a real estate license in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), you must:

Obtain a residency visa
You must be a UAE or GCC citizen or have a valid residency visa.

Complete training
You must complete a 30-hour training program offered by the Dubai Real Estate Institute (DREI).

Pass the RERA exam
You must pass the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA) exam with a score of at least 75%. The exam assesses your knowledge of real estate laws, regulations, and practices.

Submit documents
You must submit the following documents with your license application:

  • Completed license application form
  • Copy of your passport
  • Valid Emirates ID
  • Certificate of completion of the training program
  • Certificate of passing the RERA exam
  • Tenancy contract or Ejari Certificate (for brokerage firms)
  • Good Conduct Certificate
  • Trade name reservation certificate
